An important role in this process is played by the imagination described in the literature as “exceptionally human”, combined with subjectivity, creative thinking, empathy, transgression, autonomy, memory and many other dispositions that influence the personality of the student, including his or her cognitive, emotional, social, etc. Can “the action of imagination”, “the movement of thoughts, emotions and experiences” be found in the works of students inspired by school reading? What can and how can it be conducive to, and what hinders, these processes? What educational conclusions can be drawn from the analysis of tasks requiring the “work of imagination”? Why is it important for the development and education of students? The article attempts to answer such questions.}, number={285}, journal={Annales Universitatis Paedagogicae Cracoviensis.
