An important role in this processis played by the imagination described in the literature as “exceptionally human”, combinedwith subjectivity, creative thinking, empathy, transgression, autonomy, memory and manyother dispositions that influence the personality of the student, including his or her cognitive,emotional, social, etc. Can “the action of imagination”, “the movement of thoughts, emotionsand experiences” be found in the works of students inspired by school reading? What can andhow can it be conducive to, and what hinders, these processes? What educational conclusionscan be drawn from the analysis of tasks requiring the “work of imagination”? Why is itimportant for the development and education of students? The article attempts to answersuch questions. ER -
